SIKN was founded in 2022 aspiring to advance reconciliation and decolonization by supporting Indigenous leadership and Indigenous communities to promote empowerment using Indigenous Knowledge systems.

We embrace inclusion, collaboration, respect, non-traditional ways of leading and diversity through sharing knowledge and supporting Indigenous leaders and communities in pursuit of self determination.

By using an evergreen approach, we maintain flexibility in our methods to fit the unique priorities and needs of individual communities with our community-based research and actions.

Sask Indigenous Knowledge Network Inc. is

a non profit Indigenous organization that provides support to Indigenous communities by building capacity in areas such as but not limited to Indigenous led research utilizing Indigenous methodologies, community engagement, and community building.

Through community driven processes, Sask Indigenous Knowledge Network connects and engages with Indigenous communities and stakeholders to action reconciliation of culture, language and promote self-determination through Indigenous Knowledge systems at all levels of community.
